Here are some examples I have helped families and organizations tell their stories.
I recently made a video about how I met my husband Sean. We kept getting asked how we met and how the proposal went, so we decided to make a short story about it! We had so much fun filming it and we hope people enjoy our tale.
Here is the story of how my grandmother and grandfather met. It's a sweet love story. I dug up old photographs of my grandma and grandpa from family photo albums to help illustrate their narrative.
Another example of a family history is this short documentary about my great-grandfather's laundromat in Saskatoon. It was one of the last one standing when it closed down and is currently preserved for public tours at the Museum of Western Development in Saskatoon. I used photographs I found in the local archives as well as personal family photos to piece together this story.
These two samples focus on a small business: one is a biography of the owner while the latter showcases the workshops she offers. I shot original footage and used existing footage in the editing the video for these stories.
This piece is an example of a promotional piece I collaborated with a non-profit organization. I used some of their interviews they recorded. I also filmed some additional video interviews to round out the project.
